History of Anti-Surge Challenge Modifiers

Anti-Surge Challenge Modifiers is a Guardian Ranks triumph for completing an activity with an Anti-Surge challenge modifier active. Per the in-game text, you enable these in the Challenge Modifiers section of activity customization on Ultimate difficulty in the Portal.

== How to complete ==

Open the Portal and choose an activity that allows customization.

Set the base difficulty to Ultimate, then press Customize.

In Challenge Modifiers, add an Anti-Surge modifier. They are tied to a damage type; a Bungie forum reply noted Strand and Void options on one Ultimate activity, so what is offered varies by activity and week.

Finish the activity.

== Tips ==

• Anti-Surge options are not offered in Call to Arms (Crucible) playlists, and TheGamer notes Portal customization is not available for the Crucible.
• Each modifier you add changes your activity score, which affects gear reward tier.
• Pick the Anti-Surge for a damage type your build does not rely on.
