History of Antioptes, Hypogean Sentinel

Overview

Antioptes, Hypogean Sentinel is a massive Vex Cyclops of the Nessian Schism, ranked Vex Mind (Ultra). It is the final boss of Battleground: Core on Nessus, where the Vex defend the source of Nessus's radiolaria. Guardians must destroy the Oracle facing the Cyclops to start the encounter, and defeating Antioptes completes the mission.

Antioptes wields a Chronology Rifle, summons Choral Goblins and Uplifted Choral Minotaurs, and uses Time Distortion, which cripplingly slows Guardians. At a health threshold it activates Vex Deletion Wall Protocols, rotating detainment walls that Failsafe's countermeasures can disable. It first appears in Destiny 2: Episode: Echoes.
