History of Arc surge

Arc surge refers to the Arc Weapon Surge armor mod, one of the surge mods slotted in leg armor. While you have active Armor Charge, it increases the damage of Arc weapons. It does not require a matching subclass.

PvE damage bonuses are 10% with one mod, 17% with two, 22% with three and 25% with four, with diminishing returns per copy. In PvP the bonuses are 3%, 4.5%, 5.5% and 6%. Surge mods stack with empowering buffs such as Radiant and Weapons of Light.

Armor Charge is gained mainly by picking up Orbs of Power. Other elements have equivalent surge mods, for example Solar surge and Void surge.
