History of Astral Horizon (Adept)

Overview

Astral Horizon (Adept) is the Adept version of Astral Horizon, a Legendary Kinetic Shotgun with an Aggressive Frame (55 RPM, 4-round magazine; hard-hitting with high recoil, per Destinypedia). The weapon first appeared in Destiny in House of Wolves and returned to Destiny 2 in Season of the Worthy. Flavor text: "Even the brightest stars eventually set."

Acquisition

The Adept version of Astral Horizon is a harder-to-get variant from the Trials of Osiris loot pool. Per Destinypedia it is earned by a Flawless run (seven consecutive wins) to the Lighthouse and opening the Flawless chest there; later seasons also let players focus Trials engrams with Saint-14 to get rolls of Adept weapons already earned. Destinypedia shows multiple Adept iterations across seasons (including Season 12 and Season 20), so it has been re-run as a Trials reward. Weapons dropped after Season of the Splicer also carry the Celerity perk per that page. Rotation and exact availability change by season, so check the current Trials pool.
