History of Attrition Orbs

Attrition Orbs is a Weapon Perk that creates an Orb of Power after sustained weapon damage. Bungie highlighted it on Chivalric Fire in the Season 23 ritual weapon preview and has adjusted its activation progress by weapon type: the June 2026 update lowered the threshold to four hits on Wave-Frame Grenade Launchers and three hits on Rocket Launchers. Earlier changes adjusted progress generally, reducing it on Area Denial Grenade Launchers while increasing it on Swords.
