History of Awoken of the Reef

The Awoken of the Reef are the Awoken faction ruled by Mara Sov from The Reef. They fought the Fallen House of Wolves across the Sol System's asteroid belt in the Reef Wars. The conflict ended when Variks betrayed Skolas to the Reef, leading to Skolas's capture and imprisonment in the Prison of Elders and Mara Sov taking over the Kellship of the Wolves.

The Wolves later rebelled under Skolas, now calling himself the Kell of Kells, in the Wolf Rebellion. The Awoken asked Guardians from the Last City for help, which is why the Reef Wars matter to the Destiny 2 storyline.
