History of Bastion Catalyst

Bastion Catalyst is the Exotic catalyst triumph for the Exotic Fusion Rifle Bastion. Game text: defeat 400 targets with the weapon.

How to complete

1. Acquire Bastion first (see Bastion (triumph)).
2. The catalyst itself ("Cast No Shadows") drops randomly from Vanguard Ops, Gambit and Crucible activities (Game Rant), or from ritual activities and Exotic Orders (ProGameTalk). The sources differ slightly; both agree it is a random reward.
3. Equip the catalyst and kill 400 targets with Bastion.

Tips

Bastion is a close-range weapon; its intrinsic charges spreads and benefits from melee. Use it in Strikes or other add-heavy content, where kills accumulate fast.

Reward

The catalyst perk: dealing melee damage increases handling and loads a small amount of ammo from reserves.
