History of Blood Guard

Overview

The Blood Guard is a Cabal Legionary variant with an Arc absorption shield, which lets it take large amounts of damage. It is a Major-rank variant in the Red Legion. Blood Guard units are the Red Legion's elite, serving as bodyguards and honor guards for high-ranking officers, VIPs and points of interest. Known variants include the Blood Guard Bulwark, Blood Guard Close Protection and Blood Guard Security.

Combat

It wears heavier armor and carries a Cabal Slug Shotgun that deals high damage at medium range, beyond the reach of Guardian shotguns. Its gauntlets carry a blade it can fire as a projectile, which explodes shortly after hitting a surface, and it can also slash in melee. It is a high-priority target and is best focus-fired with energy weapons.
