History of Break the Bank

Overview

Break the Bank is one of the two traits on Witherhoard, an Exotic Grenade Launcher. Blighted targets take damage over time, and when a blighted target dies it leaves a new blight area behind.

The perk works with the intrinsic Primeval's Torment, which creates blight on impact on the target or the ground around it. Players report that the pair can chain: each blight kill creates another blight that spreads to nearby enemies. One source says the pairing could create an effectively endless loop.

Notes

Players used the combination to take down raid bosses quickly. A community manager reportedly called the combination unintended and said it would likely be nerfed. Research did not confirm a nerf, so check the latest patch notes. The catalyst is from Banshee-44 in the Bank Job quest.
