History of Catalyst Collector

Overview

Catalyst Collector asks you to fully Masterwork Exotic weapons using catalysts and claim the catalysts in Collections. The objective is "Catalysts completed (0/25)". Its seal or reward was not stated in any page I opened.

How to complete

1. Open the Patterns & Catalysts section of Collections to see where each Exotic catalyst is found.
2. Get a catalyst, finish its objective, then socket it into the Exotic weapon to Masterwork it. Repeat until 25 are done.
3. The Monument of Triumph update added 25 new Exotic catalysts (reports list 26 weapons, and 9 older catalysts gained perks). Per GameRant they drop from activities by weapon origin: most from Vanguard Ops, Gambit and Crucible playlists, raid and dungeon Exotics from the matching raid or dungeon, plus Exotic missions. Per Game Post, the sources for the new set were not all known at announcement.

Notes

The GameRant list covers 29 catalysts and conflicts with other counts (25 or 26); treat the in-game collection as authoritative. The 25 required may include older catalysts, such as the event-only Heir Apparent Catalyst.
