History of Catalyst Competitor

Overview

Catalyst Competitor is a 10-point triumph for completing the Heir Apparent catalyst quest, Competitive Catalyst, which is only available during Guardian Games.

How to complete

1. Get the Heir Apparent Exotic machine gun. The quest drops randomly when you deposit Gold or Platinum medals at the Podium during Guardian Games, so complete Contender Cards and triumphs to earn more medals.
2. Earn 50 medal points (Bronze 1, Silver 2, Gold 5, Platinum 15). Prioritise Gold and Platinum.
3. Complete 3 Contender Cards, bought from Eva Levante.
4. Earn 90 Competitive Spirit by killing enemies with a machine gun in the Daily Focus playlist. Strikes or Gambit rotations work better than Crucible, where heavy ammo is scarce.
5. The catalyst, Legion's Bulwark, then needs 700 defeats with the Exotic machine gun to finish; see Heir Apparent Catalyst. The 700 kills can be done after the event.
