History of Challenger's Proving

Challenger's Proving is a quest from Season of the Chosen. Completing it gives the player the Hammer of Proving, a Battleground tool used to smash the Tribute Chests that drop at the end of matches. The Hammer is socketed with Medallions and Runes, and smashing chests earns Hammer Charges, which are used to focus Umbral Engrams at the Prismatic Recaster.

The Hammer's Medallions and Runes are forged with Cabal Gold, which drops only after the Hammer is obtained. Upgrades for the Hammer depend on War Table progress.
