History of Champ

Champ is the seal and title earned during the Guardian Games event by completing its Event Challenge triumphs. This page covers the 2026 event (launched March 24 and ran until April 14, 2026, alongside Destiny 2: Renegades). Progress on the seal resets at the end of each event, so Champ can only be earned while Guardian Games is live.

Overview

  • Activity: Guardian Games 2026, run from the Tower podium and Eva Levante, using the event activities Rushdown (a boss-rush activity with daily rotating bosses), Rush Remixed and Supremacy (a class-based Crucible mode).
  • Title granted: Champ (gildable; see below).
  • Time to complete: not stated by the sources. The seal asks for Event Rank 30, 15 cards and a set of Rushdown and Supremacy grades, which is a few days of casual play across the three-week event.
  • Status: Event-only and time-limited. Once the event ends the triumphs reset. The title is kept if already earned. Sources disagree on counts: Sportskeeda says the seal has 20 triumphs and needs 16, while the in-game record listed here has 12.

Gilding

Sportskeeda and Kyber's Corner both say Champ can be gilded after the base seal is complete, with extra class-event challenges. Gilding resets with each Guardian Games.

Tips

  • Bank Medallions at the podium regularly. Kyber's Corner lists banking 600 Medallions among the seal's goals.
  • Match the Arc requirement of High Voltage with an Arc subclass while running Rushdown, so two triumphs advance at once.
  • Rushdown bosses rotate daily, so check the day's bosses before choosing a loadout.

Rewards

  • Champ title (see Guardian Games for the event weapons Triple Laureate, The Beacon and Keraunios).
