History of Chromatic Fire

Chromatic Fire is Exotic Warlock chest armor.
Overview
Crystalline Transistor causes Kinetic weapon final blows to detonate. The June 2026 Update 9.1.0 notes confirm the shipped version: precision Kinetic final blows have a larger blast radius, non-precision Kinetic final blows also detonate, and the non-precision radius depends on recent elemental final blows. The earlier effect that applied a keyword based on the equipped Super was removed. This replaces the older guide's precision-only, Light-subclass description.
Acquisition
The item record lists Exotic engrams and rare world drops, and the page also lists Exotic Armor Focusing. Bungie's July 2025 update states that Novel focusing for past-expansion armor no longer requires prior engram decryption.
