History of Crucible Labs

Overview

Crucible Labs is a Crucible playlist for experimental, work-in-progress PvP modes and rule sets. Bungie uses it like a public test realm: players try a new mode or rule change and give feedback before it ships. It was announced alongside a major update in May 2018 (the 2018 sources only describe the plan; specific modes tested are not listed here). It is launched from the Crucible destination tab when active, and only appears while Bungie is running a test, so it is not always available. Power is normalized as in other Crucible activities.
