History of Cryocannon

Overview

Cryocannon is the intrinsic on Salvation's Grip. Hold fire to charge and release to shoot. The charged projectile creates a pattern of Stasis crystals on impact and freezes nearby targets. Tapping fire fires a normal grenade without crystals.

The light.gg entry (July 2026) describes a triangle of roughly six crystals, with small, medium and large crystals front to back. The boosting-ground guide counts about seven. An older Destinypedia revision described one large crystal, so the pattern changed between versions. Sources list Shatter Shot as the trait that adds bonus damage to crystals and frozen targets.
