History of Cryosthesia 77K

Cryosthesia 77K is an Exotic Sidearm that deals Stasis damage, manufactured by the House of Light. It was introduced in Season of the Splicer and was the second Exotic to use Stasis, after Salvation's Grip.

Overview

• Archetype: Sidearm, 260 RPM semi-automatic.
• Intrinsic perk: "LN2 Burst". After a kill the weapon alternates firing modes to enable a charged shot. Its signature perk "Liquid Cooling" lets direct charged hits instantly freeze enemies, while indirect charged shots freeze combatants and slow opposing Guardians.
• Lore: a Splicer operative fighting the Vex on Europa encounters something "darker and colder" than expected.

Acquisition

• The weapon page lists its source as the Exotic Archive at the Tower (the Exotic Kiosk and Exotic Engram focusing are the usual current routes for Exotics already unlocked in Collections; check in game, as sources were not confirmed on the pages I opened).
• Historically it was a Season of the Splicer seasonal Exotic.

Catalyst

Earned through ritual playlist activities (Strikes, Crucible and Gambit). The "Cold Efficiency" upgrade refills the magazine from reserves when you shatter a frozen target.
