History of Cryptolith

Overview

A Cryptolith is a Hive structure tied to Xivu Arath. It roots itself in the material world and calls out to nearby beings, transforming them into Wrathborn, and acts as a conduit between realms. The activity entry is tagged Story and lists The Tangled Shore (where they first appeared in Season of the Hunt) and The Dreaming City.

In the Wrathborn Hunts, Crow built a Cryptolith Lure from Hive artifacts in the Spider's collection; Wrathborn are drawn to it, letting Guardians hunt them from low-ranking forces up to the High Celebrant. Related: Call of the Cryptolith, Track the Wrathborn.
