History of Darkness Zone

Overview

A Darkness Zone is an area or activity encounter with restricted respawns. In a Darkness Zone, a defeated fireteam member may have to wait for a revive instead of respawning freely. The term also appears in Lost Sector and Nightfall contexts: Destiny 2 Update 3.4.0 added an audio cue and visual tendrils when revives run out in Legend and Master Lost Sectors and Grandmaster Nightfalls. The What Remains mission uses standard Darkness Zone respawn restrictions.
