History of Deterministic Chaos Catalyst

Overview

The Deterministic Chaos Catalyst is a Triumph in Destiny 2 for the Deterministic Chaos exotic. Its objective is to defeat 400 targets with that weapon. The triumph grants no score or reward.

How to complete

To earn the triumph, the player must defeat 400 targets using Deterministic Chaos. The progress bar counts defeats until the requirement is met.

1. Get the weapon. It comes from the Unfinished Business exotic quest, which Nimbus offers after the Lightfall campaign. The quest includes the What Remains mission.
2. Get the catalyst. It drops from completing Ritual Activities or Exotic Orders at the Seasonal Hub.
3. Use the weapon in sustained fire. Its Heavy Metal trait makes every fourth bullet a heavy projectile that makes targets volatile on impact, and its Vexadecimal trait weakens targets with those projectiles. Hold the trigger so these effects land.
4. Focus priority targets and bosses. The catalyst's Target Lock perk raises damage the longer the weapon keeps firing on the same target, so long engagements help.

Every defeat counts only when made with this weapon, so use it as your main gun for the run.
