History of Director

The Director is the interplanetary map interface used to launch activities. In Destiny 2 and the original Destiny it lists raids, missions, strikes and campaign quests, with more destinations unlocking as the campaign progresses. A companion-app version let players research missions and coordinate fireteams outside the game. Its layout has changed across expansions and seasons; the Director is used to begin quests such as Eternity Beckons.
