Disciple's Hourglass

Disciple's Hourglass is an elite Taken Knight introduced in The Witch Queen and found in the Vow of the Disciple raid. It is part of the Upended Summit section, where it is the enemy the team must defeat to extend the Terminal Resonance timer.

Overview

Each Hourglass is protected by an immunity shield and attacks nearby Guardians. The shield can only be broken with the beam from the raid's artifact. Breaking the shield and killing the Knight also extends the Terminal Resonance timer.

Defenses Down

In the optional Defenses Down challenge, no player may kill more than one Hourglass, so the beam artifact is passed between teammates. The team must leave one Hourglass alive, which means giving up the extra time that kill would provide. There are seven Hourglasses across four stages.
