History of Dynamic Charge

Dynamic Charge is the weapon trait on Symmetry, an Exotic Scout Rifle introduced in Season of Dawn. Final blows and precision hits build charges. Switching to Arc Seeker mode increases the Seekers' damage and partially reloads the magazine based on the number of charges; charged Arc Seeker hits grant and can spend Bolt Charge.
Mechanics
- Each precision hit or final blow adds one charge. Community testing reports a cap of 15 charges, raised to 20 by the Symmetry catalyst.
- Holding reload switches to Arc Seeker mode. The charges are spent to partially reload the magazine and convert into Revolution stacks, which raise Arc Seeker damage and splash radius per stack. Swapping modes again clears the stacks.
- Community testing reports about 30% increased Arc Seeker damage per Revolution stack, up to 450%. Sources disagree on how long the Revolution empowerment lasts, with figures of 9 and 10 seconds reported.
- While Revolution is active, Arc Seeker hits generate double Bolt Charge, and triple at 10 or more Revolution stacks.
- Older reviews from the weapon's launch give much smaller per-stack numbers (about 54% damage for one stack), so those figures are outdated.
Tips
- Many players hold the charges to build up before switching, especially for boss damage, while PvP players tend to switch at a lower stack count.
