History of Eddy Current

Overview

Eddy Current is an Arc-exclusive weapon trait introduced in Season 21 (Season of the Deep). It temporarily increases reload speed after sprinting. The effect is stronger while amplified.

Activation

The sprint requirement is reported differently across sources: a June 2023 guide says three seconds of sprinting, and later community testing reports 1.5 seconds with the weapon readied. Sprinting refreshes the buff. The 3-second figure predates the later testing, so check the in-game description on a current roll.

Amplified

Being Amplified makes the effect stronger. The guide that covers it notes amplification is easy to reach in PvE, which makes the trait most useful there.
