History of Elemental Wells

Overview

Elemental Wells are pickups created by conditional actions defined by Elemental Well mods, introduced in Season of the Chosen. Each well takes its element from the mod that generated it. Most activation conditions spawn wells on defeated enemies, while others spawn them on the Guardian.

Collection

Wells are generated for the whole fireteam, and each player gets their own instance, so one player collecting a well does not take it from teammates. Running over a well collects it, and no mods need to be equipped. Collecting a well gives +10% energy to the ability with the lowest current energy, and a well matching your subclass element grants energy to all your abilities. Wells do not spawn in the Crucible.
