History of Emblem

Emblems are collectible icons and backgrounds shown on a player's nameplate. Other players see them on loading screens, in player roster listings and on the post-match screen after Crucible matches.

Emblems come from several sources, including raids and dungeons, events, Triumphs, special offers, and placing Ascendant III or higher in ranked Crucible playlists. For example, Timeline's Blade is obtained from the The Desert Perpetual raid.

See Sunset Emblem for an example of a Destiny 2 emblem.
