History of Encryption Daemon

Encryption Daemons are Major Daemon Hydras of the Vex, found in the Variant Security Protocol node of the Vex Network. They first appeared in Destiny 2: Season of Defiance.

Role

In the second phase of the final encounter of NODE.OVRD.AVALON, an Encryption Daemon spawns beneath the platform of Brakion, a Variant Stalker. Brakion summons a new Daemon after each damage attempt until its Mind drops to a third of its health. Destroying a Daemon releases a data Conflux that reveals part of the combination needed to damage Brakion.

The Daemons in the Infinite Forest are a separate enemy type.
