Overview

Eternal Slumber is a Legendary Kinetic Pulse Rifle with the Adaptive Frame, a well-rounded all-rounder, from the Dead Orbit faction. Its curated roll lets you pick IS 5 Circle, Model 6 Loop or Mark 15 Lens for sights, Alloy Magazine or Steady Rounds in the magazine slot, and gives Under Pressure as the trait, which improves stability and accuracy as the magazine empties. The Destiny 2 Wiki lists 390 rounds per minute, a 37-round magazine and decent stability (64). The quote, "The night sky closes in. We should not be here when the final star fades," is from Arach Jalaal; the default shader matches Dead Orbit Resurrection.

Acquisition

It first appeared in Curse of Osiris (Year 1, Season 2) as a Dead Orbit faction weapon, earned through rank-up packages from Arach Jalaal during a Faction Rally. The Destiny 2 Wiki calls it the Winner's Offering for Dead Orbit in the second Season 2 rally, but that same wiki's rally table lists New Monarchy as the winner of the 20-26 February rally, so treat the exact rally as unconfirmed. Faction Rallies were later removed, so the rifle is a legacy item.
