History of Europa Power III

Overview

Europa Power III is a Variks pursuit quest on Europa. It follows Europa Power II and requires the separate Europan Explorer II sabotage unlock to access selectable-difficulty Empire Hunts. The quest was introduced in Season 12 with Beyond Light; its 12-Hunt objective and pinnacle Europa gear reward are documented in the imported quest data and archived sources. This guide does not confirm whether Variks currently offers it.

Walkthrough

1. Complete Europan Explorer II to unlock selectable Empire Hunt difficulties. A 2026 Bungie forum response identifies this unlock as the fix when the Heroic selector is unavailable.
2. Complete 12 Empire Hunts on Heroic difficulty or higher. Higher difficulties count for more progress and are more efficient.
3. Visit Variks in Charon's Crossing to hand in the quest and claim the reward.

Rewards

Awards pinnacle Europa gear.
