History of European Dead Zone (activity)

Overview

The European Dead Zone (EDZ) patrol activity is free roam on Earth: a Golden Age ruin zone and warzone where Fallen, Taken and Cabal forces fight. It is a patrol space with no fixed power requirement, scaling with your current content.

How to launch

Open the Director and select the EDZ. Sources disagree on the unlock: Destinypedia says after the "Spark" mission, the D2 wiki says after "A Guardian Rises" (both are early campaign missions from the original game; treat this as unconfirmed).

What's there

Five landing zones: Sunken Isles, The Gulch, Trostland, Winding Cove and The Sludge. Content listed by the sources includes 13 Adventures, 16 Lost Sectors, public events, 21 region chests and the strikes "The Arms Dealer" and "Lake of Shadows". Firebase Hades is the Red Legion base, and The Farm is the social hub. A giant shard of the Traveler sits in the landscape. Devrim Kay is the zone's NPC.
