History of Exotic Catalyst III

Overview

Exotic Catalyst III is a Triumph worth 5 points. It is earned by finishing the quest "Should You Choose to Accept It, Part III", which unlocks the third Exotic Catalyst for Revision Zero, an Exotic Pulse Rifle from Season of the Seraph. This catalyst is the Outlaw Refit.

How to complete

1. Finish Parts I and II first. Part III starts after step 46 of More Than a Weapon.
2. Get the cryptographic index from an Annex (Archimedes or Diocles), then travel to the European Dead Zone for instructions.
3. Decrypt the passcode cipher (GE'FRES) by clearing patrols and enemies there, then upload it at the dead drop in the Terminus East Lost Sector in Trostland.
4. Run Operation: Seraph's Shield on Legend difficulty and find the weapon schematic it contains.
5. Complete the operation to receive the Outlaw Refit, which finishes the quest and the triumph.

Catalyst

The Outlaw Refit gives Revision Zero the Outlaw perk: precision kills greatly reduce reload time.

Notes

The catalyst is a Pulse Rifle catalyst, not a Hand Cannon one as older text on this page said. These quest steps are from the Season of the Seraph launch (December 2022 to January 2023). Later seasons may have changed them.
