History of Expert Rushdown

Overview

Expert Rushdown is the hardest difficulty of Rushdown, the boss-rush activity of Guardian Games (introduced 2025). Squads eliminate five bosses, from campaign villains such as Savathun to older seasonal enemies, before the timer expires. Game data lists 1900 power. It is split into three playlist pages: Expert Rushdown: Class-Based Matchmaking and Expert Rushdown: No Matchmaking (and this general entry).

How to launch

Choose Rushdown during Guardian Games and pick Expert. Options are standard matchmaking, class-based matchmaking (everyone the same class; only for Standard and Expert) or a private fireteam.

Mechanics

Expert has aggressive scaling and extremely limited revives. Score comes from bosses defeated and time left on the timer; fewer revives means less time lost. Some bosses have a rally flag that restocks ammo and ability energy. Sources disagree on which modes give combatant modifiers, so check the in-game screen.

Rewards

Medallions (Bronze through Diamond) feed your class's Guardian Games score; higher tiers give better loot. Top Expert scorers could earn the Keraunios Arc Trace Rifle (Keraunios).
