History of Fanatic

Overview

Fanatics are Vex units, classed as Goblins, that have been damaged and rush Guardians before detonating as kamikazes at close range. In Destiny 2, the explosion is a Solar blast that leaves a pool of Radiolaria, which damages anyone who walks through it. A Finisher kill launches the Fanatic backward with a delayed detonation and leaves no pool. This page is about the Vex enemy; Fikrul, the Fanatic is the separate Scorn leader.

Behavior

In Destiny 2, Fanatics advance slowly, fire a slap rifle and emit glitched screams. They glow blue briefly before detonating, which happens when they get too close or take enough damage.

Appearances

In Destiny, Fanatics appear in the Vault of Glass raid and on Vex machine worlds such as Nessus. In Destiny 2 they appear in Curse of Osiris, Shadowkeep, Season of the Undying, Season of the Splicer, Lightfall, Season of the Wish, Episode: Echoes, The Edge of Fate and Renegades.
