Overview

Fire in the Hole! is a Mayhem triumph that requires the player to land five grenade final blows in a single life. Completing this triumph awards one Medal.

How to complete

The challenge is getting enough grenades off in one life. Dying resets the count, so plan around recharge rather than just grenade damage.

1. Play a Mayhem playlist match and use your grenade on every group that spawns.
2. Use a build where grenades recharge fast, such as high recovery or grenade energy stats. Mayhem already speeds up Super generation, so grenade recharge is the bottleneck.
3. Make each grenade count. The final blow must be dealt by the grenade effect itself, so aim for enemies that a grenade can finish off, such as those already weakened by other damage.
4. Stay alive. Five final blows in one life is the requirement, so avoid risky pushes once you have three or four.

Tips:

• Lords of Gaming suggests the Titan exotic Armamentarium and the Warlock exotic Starfire Protocol, because both grant an extra grenade as a perk.

This is one of the rarer triumphs. In a 2020 ranking by Forbes it placed ninth, with roughly 1,878 players having earned it at the time.
