History of Fond Farewell

Overview

Fond Farewell is a Triumph in Destiny 2 from the Invasion set. It requires killing an opposing Guardian in the last five seconds of an Invasion match while emoting when the Drifter brings you back to your side. Completing it awards three Medals.

How to complete

1. Join an Invasion match and stay in it into the final stretch.
2. Watch the match timer. In the last five seconds, start an emote.
3. While the emote is still playing, land a kill on an opposing Guardian. The kill must register before the match ends.
4. Stay emoting when the Drifter pulls you back to your side. If the emote stops first, the condition is not met.

Start the emote early enough in the window that it is still active at the return. The triumph needs both the kill and the emote, so one without the other does not count.
