History of Foothold

Overview

Battleground: Foothold is a three-player mission in the Battlegrounds activity, added in Season of the Chosen. It is set in the Cosmodrome on Earth.

The story: the fireteam learns of a battle between the Imperial Cabal and the Hive. They challenge Val Ma'rag to a Rite of Proving to weaken the Cabal's hold on the region.

Enemies

• Cabal (Red Legion): War Beasts, Psions, Legionaries, Phalanxes, Incendiors, Gladiators, Centurions, Colossi and Scorpius, plus their Honored, Revered, Esteemed and Shieldbearer variants.
• Hive: Thralls, Cursed Thralls, Acolytes, Knights, Wizards, Ogres and Shriekers, including the Revenant, Blistered, Wretched and Disruptor variants.
• Champions: Barrier Colossus, Barrier Disruptor, Unstoppable Disruptor and Unstoppable Ogre.

Bosses

The bosses are the Honorchasing Colossus, the Monstrosity Ogre and Val Ma'rag.

Sequence

Foothold is part of the Battlegrounds mission order, between Hailstone (previous) and Oracle (next).
