History of For the Vanguard

Overview

For the Vanguard is a Triumph in Destiny 2. It requires completing Strikes in a Vanguard strike playlist.

How to complete

1. Open the Strike playlists from the director. Strikes are grouped into Vanguard playlists, and the name has changed over time. Vanguard Strikes was used from Year Four, Vanguard Ops from Years Eight to Ten, and Vanguard Ops was removed in Year Eleven.
2. Choose any Strike from the Vanguard playlist that is available to you. Each completed Strike counts toward the triumph.
3. Strikes are built for a fireteam of three, so queue with two others if you want a faster run.

Tips

• Nightfall Strikes are a separate high-difficulty weekly challenge with extra modifiers. They do not use matchmaking, so you need your own fireteam or to play alone.
