History of From the Front

Overview

From the Front is a Triumph in Destiny 2 worth 25 Triumph Score. It asks the player to obtain every lore page from the Battlegrounds, a seven-page set that belongs to the Season of the Chosen lore.

The lore book follows several characters as they react to Empress Caiatl's arrival in the Sol System after the Fall of Torobatl, including Cabal soldiers and commanders, Guardians such as Crow, Ikora and Zavala, and Lord Saladin.

How to complete

The lore pages unlock through the seasonal narrative. Each page is tied to the seasonal triumphs and to progress through the Season of the Chosen questline, so the triumph cannot be finished by replaying Battlegrounds alone.

1. Finish the Season of the Chosen storyline first, including the Battlegrounds missions that advance the questline.
2. Collect the seven pages from the Battlegrounds as the seasonal narrative releases them.
3. Check the triumph's progress after each Battlegrounds mission. The triumph shows 7 required pages.

Tip: in 2021 some players reported that progress stalled at 5 of 7 and that the terminal messages at the HELM would not play. They believed a patch bug blocked the questline, and no official fix has been announced. If progress stalls, confirm the questline is fully complete before trying again.

The separate triumph From High Command is also tied to the same terminal messages. Listen to every transmission at the HELM terminal near the stairs to the Eliksni area.

Rewards

No additional reward is listed for this triumph beyond its Triumph Score.

Trivia

Some players reported that a patch changed a cutscene, which skipped a lore book needed for progress. This is a player account rather than an official statement.
