History of Ghost Fragment: Toland's Ghost

Overview

Ghost Fragment: Toland's Ghost is a Triumph from the Shadowkeep Lost Ghost chain on the Moon. It is completed by finding the dead Ghost of Toland, the Warlock whose Ghost is Guren. Finding it unlocks a lore entry in the Ghost Fragment set, which is filed under Luna's Lost. The Dead Ghost is not the same as Ghost Fragments, the Tangled Shore currency.

The lore entry is two preserved transcripts. In the combat feed, Guren says Toland will hear the Deathsinger's song, which Guren believes will free him from the Traveler's cycle of rebirth. In the surveillance feed, Toland welcomes the Guardians with a smile, and Guren tells him not to smile.

How to complete

1. Get a Lost Ghost Trace. Sources describe it as a random chest drop on the Moon, so open Moon chests to collect it.
2. Take the trace to Eris Morn to unlock the mission "A True Believer".
3. Go to the Summoning Pits on the Moon. Enter the Circle of Bones and take the path to the left, then go through the hallway to a closed door.
4. The dead Ghost sits on the platform in the corner past that door.
5. Interact with the Ghost to complete the triumph and unlock the lore entry.

Rewards

A lore entry for the Ghost Fragment and the lore triumph.

Trivia

The Shadowkeep Dead Ghosts were introduced with Shadowkeep. Guides list nine or ten missions in total, so counts vary by source.
