History of Golden Age Retriever

Overview

Golden Age Retriever is a Triumph in Destiny 2 from the Ash & Iron update. It has two objectives: reach a cumulative score of 90,000 by completing weekly Reclaim activities, and complete the mission “Ash & Iron: Initialize.”

How to complete

1. Play Reclaim activities through the week until the score counter reaches 90,000. The score builds across all the weekly activities, so you do not need to finish them in one session.
2. Complete the mission Ash & Iron: Initialize once. It is the introductory story mission of the update, in The Last City on Earth, and supports one to three players.

Ash & Iron: Initialize, step by step

1. Destroy the four Vex Nodes that the Vex Mind uses to protect itself through the VexNet.
2. Push to the Hangar. The direct path is blocked, so look for a way around the obstruction.
3. Destroy the three remaining Vex Nodes in the Hangar.
4. Return to the Courtyard once the Archeodaemon's defences are down.
5. Defeat Kleftis, Archeodaemon to drive the Vex out of the Tower and finish the mission.

Tips:

• Keep a count of the node objectives, since they come in two phases of four and three.
• Clear the Hangar nodes before going back to the Courtyard. The boss defences only drop once they are destroyed.
• Do the mission early in the week so that most of your time goes into the weekly score.
