History of Grand Overture

Grand Overture is an Exotic Arc Machine Gun (a Cabal slug launcher) that was the Season Pass weapon of Season of the Risen.

Overview

Its intrinsic is Wrath of the Colossus: a heavy slug launcher that charges, then fires full-auto while the trigger is held. Its signature perk Omega Strike loads missiles from slug hits; hold alternate weapon action then fire to launch several Arc missiles in a volley.

Acquisition

• Original: claimed from the season pass at rank 1 on the paid track, or at the free track's final rank. Reported ranks differ (30 or 35), likely due to season changes.
• Current: it can be bought from the Monument to Lost Lights in the Tower.

Catalyst

Obtained via the quest "Heavy Does It" from Banshee-44: defeat 50 Cabal, 50 enemies with Power weapons, and 15 targets rapidly; then score kills with Grand Overture in playlist activities, and finally return to Banshee-44 and defeat 400 targets to slot it. The catalyst makes Arc missile explosions blind enemies, and targets defeated by missile impacts explode.
