History of Harbinger

Overview

Harbinger was a secret Exotic Mission in the European Dead Zone, introduced with Season of the Hunt (January 2021). It is a 1-3 player activity recommended at 1270 Power, fought against Taken forces of Savathûn. The entrance is a hidden jumping puzzle near Trostland, with the mission itself set in The Reservoir. One source (Destinypedia) says the quest As The Crow Flies from The Spider had to be completed first.

Encounters and mechanics

Objectives: hunt Savathûn's emissaries, follow a hawk-like guide, survive the encounters, reach a shard and drive Savathûn out of the area. It ends against a powerful Taken Knight.

Rewards

• The Hawkmoon Catalyst.
• Randomly rolled versions of Hawkmoon (the first Exotic farmable for random rolls).
• A new Exotic ship, the Radiant Accipiter.

Availability

Vaulted. Sources conflict on when: one says it left with The Witch Queen, Destinypedia says it was vaulted by Season of the Wish. Hawkmoon can still be obtained from Xûr.

Related triumphs

The mission had its own completion triumphs (see the solo run video).
