History of Hatchling

Hatchling is a Strand weapon trait: precision final blows, or rapidly defeating targets with a non-precision weapon, spawn a Threadling at the target's location. The Destiny Game Wiki lists it as introduced in Season 20 (Destiny 2: Lightfall).

Where it matters

It is the Strand counterpart of the subclass-themed traits Headstone (Stasis), Incandescent (Solar) and Voltshot (Arc). See also Weapon perk.
