History of Heart Piercer

Overview

Heart Piercer is a Trait perk on Slayer's Fang, the Exotic Shotgun from Season 25 (Episode: Revenant, Kell's Fall). Rounds shatter into submunitions on impact. The perk gives the weapon a built-in advantage against Overload Champions, which makes it a strong pick for Nightfalls and other high-end content with Champions.

Tips and synergies

• Submunitions can weaken targets. The weapon's intrinsic Nightsworn Sight grants Truesight, faster reload and precision damage on final blows, and the submunitions can also weaken targets while that buff is active.
• Repulsor Brace is the usual catalyst pick. In PvP its submunitions weaken enemies and grant an overshield on kill. In PvE, Volatile Rounds pair well with the submunitions.
