History of Heir Apparent

Heir Apparent is an Exotic Solar Machine Gun (Heavy slot), a Cabal weapon that fires at 900 RPM and must be spun up before it can fire. It debuted in Season 10 (Season of the Worthy) during the annual Guardian Games event.

Overview

Intrinsic: spin up with aim to fire. Trait Armor of the Colossus: while at full health, spinning up gives you an Arc Shield. Flavor text quotes Caiatl: "The Red Legion will march again."

Acquisition

• Guardian Games: complete the Top of Class exotic quest (Top of Class). Per a 2022 guide, you earn laurels, buy a Contender Card from Eva Levante, then get 100 machine gun kills in the Daily Focus playlist and turn in to Eva Levante.
• It is event-limited. Whether it is available outside Guardian Games in the current season is not confirmed by the sources I opened; check in-game.

Catalyst

The Competitive Catalyst quest drops from depositing Gold/Platinum medals at the Guardian Games podium. It needs 700 kills and grants Legion's Bulwark: more Arc Shield durability and a partial magazine reload if the shield breaks.
