History of Hive Cleaver

Overview

The Hive Cleaver is a sword relic in the Pit of Heresy dungeon. In the Necropolis encounter, killing the Accursed Swordbearer in the first tower grants the relic and a view of three runes.

Use

It is the only way to defeat the Disciples of the Broken Blade guarding each tower, and again in the final boss encounter:

• Might of the Broken Blade (Knight): light melee attacks.
• Omen of the Broken Blade (Wizard): heavy attack projectiles.
• Oracle of the Broken Blade (Shrieker): block to reflect its shots back.

The encounter is part of Beneath the Necropolis, a Hive area under the Scarlet Keep.
