History of Hydra

Overview

Hydras are large Vex units (about 8 feet tall) acting as "central processors" that broadcast commands. A rotating shield makes them nearly impregnable; in Destiny 2 they have three semicircular shields. They carry the void Aeon Maul and explode on death. Variants include Malignant, Choral and Compelled Hydras.
