Overview

III: Self is a Triumph in Destiny 2 tied to the lore entry of the same name in the Book of Unmaking, added in Season of the Forge on 29 January 2019.

The text is attributed to the 7th Book of Sorrow and was translated with handwritten notes by Teben Grey. It urges the reader to examine their own identity and flaws honestly, warns that self-deception leads to sorrow, and says that once the self is understood in its own truth, the cage can be unbound.
