Overview

'''IV—Over the Water''' is a lore triumph in Destiny 2 for chapter IV of the lore book Sightlines. The book was introduced with Destiny 2: Lightfall in 2023.

The chapter is written in the third person and focuses on Mithrax, with Devrim Kay in the dialogue. Mithrax stands at the edge of the Farm, looking over the water with his faceplate on the ground behind him. Devrim makes a careless remark that Mithrax has "come through just fine", which reopens his pain, and Devrim quickly apologizes. Mithrax walks off, still shaken.

Later, over comms, Mithrax says he survives only because a friend sacrificed herself and an enemy showed pity. Devrim argues that Amanda Holliday and Eramis respected him, and suggests Amanda would have agreed with Mithrax's view that lives are not held for oneself alone. Devrim then asks whether there is a "Kellsguard" to match the Queensguard. Mithrax dismisses the idea that a kell needs protection, so Devrim offers "help" instead. Mithrax lets him sit, and the two watch the water in silence.
