History of IX.X.I: Apocrypha

Overview

IX.X.I: Apocrypha is a lore Triumph for the entry "No Gods, Only Devils" from the Apocrypha section of the Inquisition of the Damned lore book, added with Shadowkeep in October 2019. The entry is a voice speaking to Akrazul after he has struck Malkanth. The voice admits it provoked him, then talks about gods, absolutes and ignorance. Malkanth's essence is freed from her body and she fades, overcome with dread.

Savathûn reveals at Malkanth's death that she had orchestrated Azavath's attack, and that Malkanth's actions served the Witch Queen's aims. Savathûn does not take Malkanth with her.

How to complete

The entry follows IX.X: Consequence of Sin, where a voice first speaks to Akrazul, and comes before IX.X.II: Thy Song Shall Become Death.

Rewards

None beyond the triumph itself.
